Try cutting out caffeine. It constricts blood vessels which is why helps with headaches, but not so much with cramps. I'd do it a few days before your period starts, just to get over the withdrawal. Leafy green vegetables can help you feel better, as can regular exercise. A few studies have shown that Vitamins D E and magnesium supplements can help, but the studies are new and few. That's why I stick with the leafy greens. If cramps persist, talk to a doctor about your drug options.
